CHAD LUKE Biography

Chad Luke Schiro is an actor, writer, choreographer, and LGBTQ advocate who has performed on Broadway, at The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and Radio City. He’s best known for his award-winning work at the groundbreaking developmental ARS Nova Theater in NYC. There, he created two ninety-minute monologue and dance odysseys, JUST JUMP! And Welcome to The Jungle, that utilized pop culture, character work, music videos and live dance as sociopolitical commentary. For six years, Chad worked exclusively with some of the most prominent figures in the LGBTQIA Plus community, (Laverne Cox, MJ Rodriguez, Eve Lindley and many more) in an exclusive Queer filmaking movement. These relationships fostered and vetted the writing of Chad’s first feature film script, Night Of A Thousand CYNS and his first series, The Highs And Down Lows of NYC (In Production, Spring 2022).  Favorite acting credits include Gary in Adam Szimkowitcz’s Incendiary, Mitchell in Alan Bowne’s Forty Deuce (Best Supporting Actor/Best Ensemble Spotlight On Awards), I Am Harvey Milk at Lincoln Center, and staged readings of Tim Fountain’s controversial Dandy In The Underworld (Sebastian Horsley) and Rock(Rock Hudson).   
In 2012 Chad was given the honor of co-choreographing the illustrious Winter Ball for The School Of American Ballet at Lincoln Center. Soon after ,he choreographed and performed in the opening number for Night Of A Thousand Stevies, the largest Stevie Nicks fan tribute evening in the world. Other places his moves can be seen are in the Disney Film Old Dogs with John Travolta, Robin Williams, and Bernie Mac, in the New York Fringe Festival, Off-Broadway at Urban Stages and Ars Nova, and in the new feature film Beijing New York for Taiwanese superstar Chiling Lin . As an Associate Choreographer he most recently worked on the First Ever Broadway Revival of Bye Bye Birdie with John Stamos and Bill Irwin. Other Broadway Associate credits include Urban Cowboy The Musical(2003 Tony Award Nomination Best Choreography, Melinda Roy) and Master Harold and The Boys with Danny Glover. I was also Associate on the critically acclaimed revival of Can-Can at New York's City Center starring Patti Lupone, and revivals of Carnival and Showboat at The Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall respectively.
